3D Motion Analysis of Firefighters’ Turnout Gear

This project investigated the incremental impact of wearing turnout gear, boots and a self-contained breathing apparatus

on firefighters’ lower body movement, gait pattern body balance and foot function.

In-shoe plantar pressure sensors and 3D motion capture system were used for data analysis.
